HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (Easter Seals - Sacramento)

Easter Seals Superior CA is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant position to work in our fast-paced Human Resources Dept. Under the direction and supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources, to assist with the full scope of administrative support duties for the daily operations of the Human Resources Department by personally performing the following duties:

RESPONSIBILITIES
Track and maintain data base for application and resume data and maintain a filing system that is in compliance with federal, state and local laws.
Create, maintain and organize all employee files in accordance with employment law requirements.
Manage all administrative aspects of Workers Compensation claims and serve as back up to handle claims.
Assist during new hire orientation, open enrollment and other meetings.
Monitor and track all new hire documentation related to ensure compliance with position requirements.
Create and distribute name badges for new and existing staff.
Complete and submit documentation related to Verifications of Employment, Unemployment, Disability and Paid Family Leave Claims.
Process new benefit enrollments, termination of or changes to employee benefits as well as perform all annual administrative responsibilities pertaining to Open Enrollment.
Maintain and ensure the accuracy of 1-9 files and perform audits as necessary.
Perform input to maintain HR/Benefit database.
Administer random drug testing.
Retrieve and distribute routine reports for distribution to management staff.
Type policies, procedures, forms, reports and special projects as directed.
Copy forms, letters, reports and other documents as required. Assemble job offer materials, new hire packages, orientation materials and termination packets.
Perform general filing duties; maintain files in compliance with personnel record standards. Sort mail and prioritize, as appropriate.
Monitor and order supplies and benefit enrollment material, as needed.
Provide exceptional customer services both internally and externally. Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
College Degree preferred (min AA degree).
1-2 years experience in the Human Resources environment.
Other Requirements:
Position requires current CORI fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice.
A valid California Driver's License is required along with proof of liability insurance coverage and must meet the driving standards of the agency.
Position requires proof of negative TB test within the past twelve (12) months.

Production Assistant - EASTER SEALS SUPERIOR CA (Sacramento)

Easter Seals is seeking three (3) part-time (hourly) individuals to to provide assistance to Vocational Skills Trainers in various Work Center training components, by offering vocational instruction and guidance that assists persons with disabilities in developing their employment preferences leading to greater independence.

Responsibilities Include:
Will provide vocational training through contract production work and training consumers on either internal or external work crews.
To assist in work flow coordination to ensure that contract work is satisfactorily completed in a timely manner and meets all requirements.
Must be willing to assist with Work Crews in the absence of a Vocational Skills Trainer.
Key responsibilities include managing clients working in a janitorial capacity and/or production.
Knowledge of floor care a plus.
Must have transportation as travel to various sites may be required.

Qualifications/Experience:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is recommended.
One (1) year full-time experience working with individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities; however, we are willing to train.
We are looking for team players who are willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include evenings and weekends. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday; 5.0 hours per day; evening and day shifts are available.

•    Provide effective occupational therapy treatment for children 3-21 in a clinic or school-based setting
•    Collaborate with a supervising Occupational Therapist regarding IEP goals, progress, discharge planning, and environmental modification
•    Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and interdisciplinary team members
•    Learn and utilize electronic appointment and medical record systems
QUALIFICATIONS
•    California licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
•    One (1) year of equivalent paid experience as a pediatric COTA preferred.

  • To evaluate pediatric clients with physical and developmental disabilities and provide therapy services designed to maximize client functioning.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Licensure with the California State Board of Medical Examiners as a Physical Therapist.
  • One (1) year if equivalent paid experience as a staff Physical Therapist preferred.
  • Experience in the evaluation and treatment of children.
  • Position # PE - 19

 

Community Skills Trainers
